Plumbing
Plumbing that's thought throughfrom the start.
Good plumbing is mostly invisible: it's in the pipe routes, the drainage falls and the isolation valves you'll be glad of later. Whether it's part of a new kitchen or bathroom or a job on its own, tell us what you need and we'll discuss what's involved.

- Kitchen and bathroom plumbing
- Pipework and radiators
- Coordinated with wider projects
What we can discuss
Plumbing requirements customers ask about
Describe what you need and we'll confirm whether it's work we can carry out for you.
Kitchen plumbing
Sinks, taps and connections for appliances such as dishwashers and washing machines.
Bathroom plumbing
Basins, WCs, baths and showers, including supplies and waste.
Radiators and pipework
Replacing or relocating radiators and the pipework that serves them.
Leaks and repairs
Tell us what you've noticed — dripping, staining or low pressure — and where.
Plumbing within larger projects
New or rerouted pipework and drainage as part of a renovation, conversion, kitchen or bathroom.
Plumbing and gas are different
Work on gas appliances, boilers or gas pipework must, by law, be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. Gas work is not included in the plumbing described on this page. If your project involves gas, please say so in your enquiry.
If you smell gas, leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999.
What affects the work
Things that shape a plumbing job
These factors often decide how straightforward — or involved — a plumbing job will be.
Access to pipework
Pipes hidden under floors or behind tiled walls take more work to reach — and more making good afterwards.
Your hot water system
The type of system and the water pressure available affect which taps, showers and fittings will work well.
Age of the existing installation
Older pipework and fittings may need replacing when connecting new ones.
Drainage routes
Waste pipes need sufficient fall. Moving a fixture away from the soil stack can be the biggest constraint.

Behind the finishes
Neat, accessible and properly isolated
Pipework that is planned, neatly run and fitted with isolation valves makes future maintenance far easier — for you and anyone who works on the property later.
When plumbing is part of a larger project, we'll consider pipe routes and access before floors and walls are closed up.
Your enquiry
What to tell us about the plumbing work
A short description and a photo or two are often enough to start.
For an active leak, turn off water at the stop tap if you can do so safely, then get in touch.
- What you need doing, and in which rooms
- Any problem you've noticed — and how long it's been happening
- Your type of boiler or hot water system, if known
- Photographs of the area and any existing fittings
- Whether the work is part of a larger project
- Whether gas work may be involved
