Who we are
This website is run by Dream Fixer Construction (“we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal information you share with us. You can contact us about privacy at info@dreamfixerconstruction.co.uk or on 07825 269542.
What we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us:
- Quote request form: your name, phone number, email address and preferred contact method; the type of work, a description of the project and your postcode or general area; and, if you choose to give them, the property type, preferred timing, an approximate budget, any additional information and up to three photographs.
- Contact form: what your message is about, your name, email address, preferred contact method, your message and, if you give it, your phone number.
- Mailing list: your email address, if you choose to sign up.
- Phone calls and emails: whatever you tell us when you contact us directly.
Please don’t include sensitive information — such as health details or financial account numbers — in your enquiry. We don’t need it to respond.
How the website handles your enquiry
When you submit a form, the website checks the details and sends them to us by email, together with any photographs you attached. A confirmation email is sent to the address you give. The website does not keep a database of enquiries, and photographs are not stored on the website — they exist only in the emails.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, discuss your project and prepare a quotation you have asked for. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To keep a record of our correspondence with you, which is in our legitimate interests in running our business (Article 6(1)(f)).
We only send you news and updates if you join our mailing list, and we never sell your information. Details you give in an enquiry are not added to the mailing list.
Our mailing list
If you sign up, we first email you a link to confirm. You are only added once you press it. We then use your email address to send occasional news and updates, based on your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations).
You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or by emailing info@dreamfixerconstruction.co.uk. The subscriber list is held by our email provider, Resend. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record of your address marked as unsubscribed so that we don’t email you again.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers who process information on our behalf:
- Resend — delivers the emails sent by our website and holds our mailing-list subscribers.
- Our email provider — hosts the inbox where we receive and answer enquiries.
- Vercel — hosts this website. Like any web host, it processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver pages securely.
These providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, they rely on recognised safeguards for international transfers, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or approved contractual clauses.
We may also share information if the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to respond to you. If you go ahead with a project, we keep the relevant records for as long as necessary for the project and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. Resend keeps a limited record of sent emails in line with its own retention policy.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information;
- ask for your information in a portable format.
To use any of these rights, email info@dreamfixerconstruction.co.uk. If you’re unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
