Electrical work
Electrical work,planned properly.
From extra sockets and new lighting to the electrics behind a kitchen, bathroom or renovation, electrical work is easiest to get right when it's planned alongside everything else. Tell us what you need and we'll talk through what's involved.
- Lighting, sockets and switches
- Electrics within wider projects
- Certification discussed up front

Electrical safety and certification
In England, some electrical work in homes is notifiable under Part P of the Building Regulations. Notifiable work must be carried out by an electrician registered with a competent person scheme, or notified to building control, and certified on completion.
If your project includes notifiable electrical work, we'll confirm how it will be carried out and certified before work starts.
What we can discuss
Electrical requirements customers ask about
Describe what you need and we'll confirm whether it's work we can carry out for you.
Lighting
New or replacement light fittings, changes to lighting layouts and switching.
Sockets and switches
Additional or relocated sockets and switches, and replacing tired accessories.
Kitchen and bathroom electrics
The electrical work that goes with a new kitchen or bathroom, planned alongside the rest of the room.
Renovations and conversions
Electrics for reconfigured rooms or newly created spaces, coordinated with the wider project.

Planning
Decide where things go before the walls are finished
Moving a socket or adding a light is simple while walls are open and much more disruptive once they've been plastered and decorated.
If electrical work is part of a bigger project, we'll go through positions for sockets, switches and lighting early, so they suit the way you'll use the room.
